I am a patient, enthusiastic teacher who loves violin---all styles. I am also the parent of a child who studies music.

 

Lessons are tailored to the individual, since each student has individual interests and his/her own learning style.

 

Students get to choose their own sheet music (including school or orchestra music) at the appropriate level, but I can certainly offer suggestions.

 

I stress strong rhythmic training, learning how to practice, bow strokes, positions and shifting, vibrato, tone production, phrasing and musical line, playing chords, cueing, and how parts fit together.
